Our Inspiration
The 1920’s prohibition in the United States caused speakeasy bars to thrive. These bars allowed customers to bring in their own drinks, and worked as a legal loophole for bars no longer able to sell alcohol. Since the end of prohibition many bars across the pond in London and Brighton took inspiration from the speakeasy and created ‘Bring Your Own Cocktail’ bars in which attendees could bring their own spirits and be assigned a professional cocktail artist. However such an event is yet to reach Sheffield.
